Vintage Drag Racing — “The Lemon,” the 1960 AHRA National Champion in A/Altered Class

“The Lemon” was a '33 Ford Coupe with an injected Olds engine that competed in the AHRA A/Altered Class in 1959 and 1960, owned and driven by Jerry Ross, founder of the industrial chemical division of HyperKuhl SuperCoolant. The car ran mostly in the low 11's, and in 1960 won the national championship in the A/Altered class at the AHRA Nationals in Kansas City.
