As Norris soaks up the champagne on the podium, we'll leave it there for this race.
Next up: Silverstone. See you then!
Leclerc: Third the maximum for Ferrari
Leclerc, third place: "I rate our weekend as a team really well, but the pace today was not enough. In the first corner I was thinking about going, but Lando closed the door and opened the door for Oscar. They were too fast for us to stay in second, so third was the most we could do."
Piastri: "Intense" Austria race with Norris
Piastri, on finishing second: "Intense! I hope it was good watching because from inside the car it was hard work. Yeah, I tried my absolute best.
"I probably could have done a better job when I got ahead momentarily, but it was a good battle. Probably pushed the limits a bit far, but that's what we're here to do - race each other and fight for wins."
Norris lauds "fun" battle with Piastri
Norris, on winning the Austrian GP: "It was a tough race! Pushing the whole way through, tricky, hot, tiring- but the perfect result for us as a team, a 1-2.
"We had a great battle, that's for sure. It was a lot of fun - for me a lot of stress, but a lot of fun. Hopefully it was a nice one for everyone to watch!"
Thrilling battle between the two McLaren drivers at the start there; Piastri was coming back at him at the end, but the challenge ran aground thanks to traffic.
Alonso hugs Bortoleto after their battle for seventh. Big payday for Sauber, which is recovering well after a tough start to 2025.
Hamilton ends the day in fourth, as Russell claims a lonely fifth place.
Lawson claims an excellent sixth, as Alonso holds off Bortoleto for seventh. The Brazilian gets his first F1 points, as Hulkenberg and Ocon complete the scorers.
Norris wins the 2025 Austrian GP!
Lando Norris claims victory at Austria, soaking up the pressure from Oscar Piastri (and getting helped hugely by the traffic at the end there) to convert pole!
Piastri is second, with Leclerc third to complete the podium.
Lap 70
Alonso might have done Norris a huge solid amid his defending against Bortoleto...
Lap 69
Bortoleto tries to get the move done on Alonso, but the Spaniard holds on through Turn 3. This has let Lawson escape down the road.
Norris laps Bortoleto, and will have to do the same with Alonso - but the gap to Piastri is now just over a second.
Lap 67
Tsunoda interloped in that battle for sixth, as he's pitted for a third time. Alonso's lost time to Lawson, and Bortoleto is now within DRS range of his manager and mentor.
Lap 66
1.9s separates the leaders at the start of this lap. Norris gets a little wide moment through Turn 3, as he's working hard to keep the gap static.
Lap 64
Piastri is hovering at 1.8s. "We have a bit of damage on our front wing which is changing the balance a bit," Norris is told, as he rounds Hulkenberg.
Bortoleto's now just 3.6s behind Alonso, but the McLarens lapping him might hurt that progress a touch.
Lap 63
Bortoleto's got the gap to Alonso down to 5.7s; he'll hope that Lawson and Alonso run out of tyres relatively sharpish. There's still a bit of time.
Lap 62
Norris has Ocon ahead, again in the middle sector - but Ocon gets out of the way. He gets a slight reprieve, but Hulkenberg and Bortoleto will be next.
Gap is now just 1.7s.
Lap 61
Piastri clears Hadjar at Turn 3, so he's got a nicer run with that particular piece of traffic. Gap at the front is now 2s.
"I need some pace, please help," Norris says. "The main difference is high speed," he's told, and it may be traffic related.
Lap 60
Norris indeed gets into Hadjar's wake, which won't be particularly helpful as he catches him in the middle sector. This helps Piastri get the gap down to 2.1s.
10 to go.
Lap 59
Lawson is still sixth and ahead of Alonso, as the two are making the one-stop work. Bortoleto's still over 9s behind the two.
Piastri dips below the 3s mark as he attempts to close in on Norris - who's going to have to clear some traffic.
Colapinto penalty
Franco Colapinto gets a five-second penalty for that moment with Piastri. We missed that Tsunoda's also got a 10s penalty for that collision with the Argentine driver.
Lap 56
Norris will have to pick up the pace a bit, as Piastri's hovering around the 3s mark behind him.
Bortoleto clears Hadjar, and will have a 9s gap to close down Lawson and Alonso.
Lap 55
Piastri picks up the pace from the Colapinto scenario and closes the gap back down to 3.4s. Russell gets ahead of Lawson and Alonso. Bortoleto's closing down Hadjar for eighth.
Lap 54
The traffic comes into play, and Colapinto almost shoves Piastri off the road on the exit of Turn 3! The Argentine was battling with Tsunoda into Turn 3, locks up, and just slams the door on Piastri.
Proper Jean-Denis Deletraz vibes.
Lap 53
Norris comes out ahead of Tsunoda, et al. Piastri is being pulled in to stop, presumably hoping to clear that traffic. It's a swift stop for Piastri, but he does have traffic.
Lap 52
Piastri is now 3.9s behind Norris. Norris is told "this is the Germany situation". Norris pits for his final set of tyres and takes the mediums.
Lap 51
Hamilton asks to extend his stint, but is not allowed to do so; he stays out, and comes out behind Leclerc. He wanted to see how long he could go on hards, and potentially get a podium.
Lap 49
"As Oscar gets free air his high-speed pace will start to come back a bit. It'll get tougher when we catch up to Hadjar".
Leclerc stops from third place, so Hamilton will briefly move up to third. Bortoleto also comes in for his final stop of the afternoon. Swift stop, and he picks up the hard tyre.
Lap 48
Piastri's lost time at Turn 1, so the gap extends to 4.3s. Hamilton also has an off at Turn 3 as his car just sustained a little snap.
Lap 47
Russell clears Hadjar, and has Lawson and Alonso to work his way past shortly.
Norris is 3.6s clear of Piastri as it stands.
Lap 46
Russell will stop at the end of this lap; he's in a very lonely fifth at the moment as he's struggling in the heat. He claims the hard tyre, and will come out behind Hadjar.
Lap 44
Norris is beginning to get a little bit of respite, as the lead opens to 3.7s and Piastri isn't making much progress on lapping Hulkenberg.
Lap 43
"Is he just quicker everywhere?" Norris asks; Will Joseph tells him that Piastri's got an advantage in the high-speed. Keeping Piastri out of DRS is the goal, Norris is also told.
Hulkenberg pits for the mediums, his final scheduled stop.
Piastri clears Stroll, and will now have Hulkenberg to clear.
Lap 42
Norris clears Stroll, so that's that particular section of traffic dealt with. Hadjar is another 7s up the road.
Piastri now has to contend with the backmarkers.
Lap 40
Norris is coming up to lap Colapinto and Stroll; the Alpine driver helps his cause by pitting - although the traffic delay has still helped Piastri cut the gap to 3.3s.
Lap 39
Piastri is picking up the pace now, just 4.5s down on Norris. Gasly comes out of the pits after swapping hard tyres for mediums.
Lap 37
Piastri has closed the lead down to 5.2s, but Norris is maintaining a reasonably steady vigil out front. Leclerc is 13.8s behind, Hamilton is 3.5s off his team-mate, and Russell is a further 15.9s behind.
Bortoleto is sixth and just 3.5s off Russell.
Order at lap 35
Norris, Piastri, Leclerc, Hamilton, Russell, Bortoleto, Hulkenberg, Ocon, Bearman, Gasly, Lawson, Alonso, Hadjar, Colapinto, Stroll, Tsunoda.
Albon, Verstappen, Antonelli, and Sainz are out.
Lap 33
Piastri's picking up the pace at the front and is now 5.8s behind. Leclerc's still falling behind the McLarens - he's now 13s adrift.
Alonso pits from fifth, and takes the hard tyre. Lawson and Alonso are set for one-stoppers.
Lap 32
Old 'friends' Gasly and Ocon duel over 10th - Gasly's very defensive here, but he's not got much in the way of pace, so this should be a breeze with DRS.
Lawson finally pits from fifth place.
Lap 31
Tsunoda gets a new front wing - this is a disasterclass for Red Bull, isn't it? Fresh mediums for Tsunoda as well.
The incident has been noted, and will no doubt be investigated.
Lap 30
"I have no grip, I'm about to spin every corner," Gasly reports, as he's been cleared by both Saubers. Colapinto's battling away with Tsunoda further back - and the two make contact at Turn 4 as Tsunoda's front wheel clips Colapinto's right rear.
